I read somewhere (can't remember if it was on Fodor's or another forum) that there is a shuttle bus that goes from Cesky Krumlov to Linz. Has anyone used this shuttle and do you know which hotel or pension it leaves from? We will be in CK in October and I am wondering if the shuttle goes every day or if we need to book it ahead of time. What is the cost?

The train from Krumnau via Budweis to Linz costs peanuts and takes 4h. Try www.bahn.de, no idea what the bus would cost, maybe someone else knows?

Street robbers, they claim the 4h journey takes al least 5 hours and charge 600 crowns for it...

Thanks for the link to the shuttle from Lobo. We would like to get an early start to our day, arriving in Linz before noon and then have the rest of the day to tour about so that we can then get an early start for Budapest the next day. Do you think this is possible?
