We are visiting Shrewsbury at the end of July and would like to stay within walking distance of the town center (not more than a mile and around $75 if possible). Any suggestions?

Hi, Laly. I've stayed in Shrewsbury, but would not recommend the hotel where I stayed. Can't remember the name, but it had peacock in it. However, I would recommend the following source for finding a good, cheap room. www.s-h-systems.co.uk/shrewsbu.html

There is a location map for each hotel, you can e-mail the various rooms and usually get a better rate than the one listed, and most of them have their own website that you can check out. Hope this helps.
