I am a runner, too, and wear custom-made orthotics in my running shoes. I also had my foot doctor make a version for everyday use, including dress shoes and walking shoes.

I would just take your running shoes and use them for every day walking.

I wear orthotics and have have full foot ones for walking sneakers which can fit into my UGGS but not leather heeled boots, loafers or high heels. There my pediatrist made smaller and thinner orthotics for these shoes, albeit, not as supportive. He'd like me to wear New Balance sneakers 100% of time!
(He likes this brand for best heel support.)
Sometimes I have to take out shoe/boot/sneaker liner if the back of shoe is lower or else my heel comes out when walking.

Can't you take them out and employ what most of us said in this thread?

Try Finn Comfort shoes, made in Germany. You can take out the soles that come with the shoes and put in your own custom orthotics. They are very comfortable for walking and last forever.I order mine from Singapore and they are ver reasonably priced.

Can you give a link, they're not available in Germany. So importing seems like a good idea.

My Rockport World Tour shoes work well with with my custom orthotics. Insoles are removable. I got the shoes in my regular size and had them stretched a little to accomodate my prescription insoles.
