Sheeps Head B&B
Does anyone know Hillcrest Farm B&B? It's near Ahakista on Sheeps Head peninsula and it looks nice on the internet... but it's always good to get a comment from a real person.
We hope to be there for two or three nights. We are planning to go to Bantry House especially if it's raining and the Gardens if it's not, and take a couple of nice drives/short walks around. Any suggestions? We'll have our four year old with us, so walks can't be too long, but we would love to see some beautiful scenery. Thanks for your help!

We stayed at a self-catering cottage in Kilcrohane in April of 2006, so can't help on the B&B.

Great trip report... and beautiful pictures. It looks like a gorgeous place. Now all we have to hope for is that the rain stops while we're there in August! If so, we'll try to squeeze in a drive out to either Mizen Head or Beara. Which would you recommend?

You must take the drive around Bantry Bay to Glengarriff and also take a trip to Garnish island.

Dunno about chosing just one. With a 4 year old, though, there might be less 'car time' involved in the Mizen (as in more opertunities to stop and wander about).

Thanks, Garnish looks lovely. I was wondering if it was worth to go over there, but it looks like a great little adventure. Mizen looks lovely, and perhaps a bit shorter... we'll just play it by ear when we get there. Thanks for the tips.
