Seville Cathedral, Giralda Tower & Alcazar

What will be a reasonable amount of time to visit Seville Cathedral, Giralda Tower & Alcazar? I will be there for a tuesday afternoon and evening (1 pm to 8 pm) in February. I understand this city deserves a lot more time than that, but given my constraints should I expect to have a half decent time to visit these monuments?

That is plenty of time to see those two destinations. Additionally you should have time left over to see a little of the barrio.

In the Alcazar, you can spend any number of hours there. It is mostly a huge garden where you can spend countless hours. I probably was there around 3 hrs. I am not sure.

The Cathedral, Giralda and Alcazar are all next to each other. I would start with the Cathedral and Giralda and whatever time you have left go to Alcazar and walk around Barrio Santa Cruz . I tought the Cathedral was awesome but I wasn't as impressed by the Alcazar. Go to Cafe Giralda in front of the Cathedral for lunch/ tapas.

Thanks A and Maria for the very useful response. Yes I need to eat too. Looks like Cafe Giralda should be a good choice.

Paul, I must admit, I truly had mixed feelings about the cathedral. It is truly a magnificent structure, and everyone should see it. But when I was there in December, the place was just packed. I feel kind of funny about saying that, because I know full well that I was part of the problem! I know I can't very well visit a place and then complain about the crowds. Still, though, I kind of wish I had been there at a time of year that was less busy. Perhaps February will be better for you.

By the way, the best part of the cathedral for me was at night when the bells were rung -- all 24 at once. It is a sight, and sound, that everyone should experience.

About the Alcazar, I supposed it would depend on what your interests are. Personally, I really liked it, especially the gardens in back. Even though it was December, I happened to be there on a fairly warm day, and wandering around the gardens was really pleasant. I'd love to go back in spring when the flowers start blooming.

All in all, I really liked Seville and was there for far too short a time. I'd love to go back.
