September temperatures in Poland
We are heading to Poland around Sept 9 for 10 days. Can someone tell me what to expect for temperatures? Everything I have seen leads me to believe it will be 60-70 F during the day....what about evenings? I am trying to finish up my packing without bringing too much!! Thanks!

HI
When we were in Warsaw a few years ago it was in the 60's. We were there in the mid to end of September. It began to rain and continued for several days. I don't know if it was usual but a couple of years before we were in Krakow and though it was a bit cool, we had no rain. It's hard to figure.

I think I will plan for fall with long sleeve shirts - sleeves can always be rolled up if it is too hot - or sweaters can be removed, especially if there is a short sleeve t-shirt underneath. I am desparately trying not to over pack, but cover most scenarios in the process.
Thanks!
Thanks!

http://meteo.icm.edu.pl/index2eng.php?ver= I've been using this Polish site for a few months. It's great and I guess you'll find it useful, too. Choose a town from the list and you'll see what temperatures we have in Poland.

I'm in Poland now, north-east of Krakow, today was 21 C, sunny (short sleeves were OK during the day for some), but not in the evening/night (10 C). Be prepared for rain and sun. The best is to have few layers of cloth.
All the best in Poland! It's beautiful country!

dreamandgo: Your answer is helping me too, although I'm not the original poster. You're in Poland around the same time we will be in eastern Europe in September 2008! We're going to Krakow and Prague and some smaller towns. Thanks!
