Krakow in September - Crowded?

I'll be in Krakow Sept. 13-18. Anybody been around that time of year to know how crowded it will be? I know high season is considered through the end of October (based on hotel rates), but I am hoping crowds taper off at the end of August.

Crowds or too many people in one place have never been a concern in Krakow. Restaurant waits are minimal. Attractions seem to move people without hurrying them. You can always find a spot to sit down and have a beverage. Shop for hotel rates. Try the Europski or the Saski. Enjoy!

We went to Krakow in October 2003 and crowds were not a problem. We never had to wait at restaurants, sights, etc. Did not have a problem getting tickets to tour the Wawel Castle. I also recommend the Hotel Saski. Rates were reasonable in 2003 with full delicious breakfasts. It's in an excellent location about 1/2 block from the Main Square and Cloth Hall.
Hope you enjoy Krakow as much as we did. It's one of our favorite cities & we hope to return.

I visited Krakow in 2004 (mid August) and again in 2006 (early June), and was amazed by the difference - much more crowded in 2006. Krakow is now on the cheap flight circuit and has been well and truly discovered. I would expect crowds in September.

I was there at the beginning of May and it was extremely crowded--but it was also a holiday weekend. But as I've found in any tourist destination, if you go one block from the main drag you'll have the place all to yourself.

I've been figuring there'd be crowds! Based on the prices for lodging, it really is a mainstream destination now. By the way, I ended up booking at Guest Rooms Maria.
