Does anyone know if there is a self service laundromat near the old town?

Dubrovnik does not have a self service laundry, such as you do in the US. We do have 2 but they will wash and dry and iron your clothing. One is in the Pile area, another near to the Bellevue Hotel. If you're staying in a private apartment,the vast majority will have a washing machine and a cloths line to dry outdoors. Last year the cost of one load of laundry was 85 Kuna, approximately $16.

I was thinking to rent a 2 bedroom apart.

However, when I saw the view from the terrace of Villa Adriatica, I fell in love with the terrace and the gorgeous view and decided that I dont really need a bigger place after all because I plan to take many day trips.

I know the property, location is great. You are close to our local bus stop, next to a bakery (only ok) and a small Konzum market is in the same building. This is the Ploce (plo-cha) side of town and views are spectacular. The villa is still what locals consider a private apartment, even though they only do rent out rooms. Do email Miroslav and ask if they have a washing machine you can use, I will bet you a cup of coffee the answer is yes.

Self-Service Laundry in Dubrovnik


A new self-service Laundromat has just opened in Dubrovnik. Sanja & Rosie’s Launderette is located at Put Od Bosanke 2, just outside the Ploce Gate entrance to Old Town. There are several professional washing machines and dryers available and they accept Kuna coins and notes. One washing cycle costs 50 Kuna and dryers are priced at 10 Kuna for 10 minutes. The Laundromat has a funky, retro vibe and is open daily from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm.

Sanja & Rosie’s Launderette is a much-needed new service and will be very convenient for those staying in private apartments and villas in and around the Old Town.

I just noticed this new self service laundry on Sunday evening. Kitmetchimera, it will be perfect for you to cross the road and you are there. I know it opened just recently but had not seen the site until last week, perfect.
