self-catering apartments in Umbria

I am planning to go to Umbria with my wife next September for 2 weeks and am interested in staying inside a small town self-catering apartment. We would use this as our base. We are not looking for a fancy place just a clean, economical place to stay. Any help would be appreciated.

Google Enoteca Piazza Onofri. The owner has a dozen or so little apartments in the center of Bevagna. Free parking and Bevagna is relatively flat and convenient to other towns (Spello, Montefalco, Asissi, Perugia).

I stayed here twice in 2006 and just loved it.

We stayed in at an apartment in a villa in Umbria (400 E a week) I liked it.. and when looking around I couldn't find any better deals. Great location to see all the small hill towns, lovely garden, quiet yet within an hour of orvieto, deruta, assisi, gubbio (1.5) Montefalco, Bevagna. One caveat she says she is in the town of Collesecco - you can walk to grocery etc but it is on a busy road. We felt uncomfortable but have a small child. Plus the town is not old or historic.

Anyway, Here is the website. www.umbriavacations.com I would recommend the apartment with one bedroom for the two of you.. the deck is to die for. Phyliss the owner is a great woman! Enjoy your trip.

Hey Everyone
Thanks for the assistance! I did send out an email about Piazza Onofri and am waiting for a response. The web site seems to be shut down as I couldn't go through its web site email.
