Seeking Hotel Recommendation: Near DLP AND Near Paris Please!

Hi Fodorites!

This is really just a hotel question! Discussions of where we should go, and why DLP, well, that's not for this thread please! We will be stopping over in France in April
for just a few short days. Some of our group plans to spend it in Disneyland Paris, and others plan to hang out only in Paris (the city)!

So, where shall we sleep? We need a few recommendations, close to the train I figure - right? Easy to get to from CDG airport, as well. We love the "Disney" brand, i.e. the "Disney Bubble" but probably do not want to spend the money for that on this trip. Clean, convenient, moderate priced. What would you recommend?

THANKS!

You can't be close to both as they aren't near each other. I presume even those going to DLP are not going to be there in the evening, right? I mean aren't they planning on returning to have dinner etc with the other folks?

To me, the only logical place would be in Paris, not near Disneyland. Partly for that reason, but staying in a hotel near DLP, you'll sort of be in the middle of nowhere. at least in Paris you can walk to restaurants, etc. And it will be easier to get to the airport. So I'd stay near the RERA line to DLP to make it easy for both. Somewhere around Gare de Lyon would work, or even the Bastille area as that is only one stop from the RERA line. You could also stay near Chatelet Les Halles, actually, and kill two birds with 1 stone, the RERA to DLP and the RERB to CDG. I don't know what kind of hotel you want, there is a big Novotel there which you could look into.

For a smaller, more charming hotel, I have stayed at the Hotel Ducs d'Anjou in that area and like it a lot. It is probably closer to Chatelet metro than the Chatelet/Les Halles RER center, though. https://hotelducsdanjou.fr/en/

IN practice Gare de Lyon would be easier than being around that RER stop which is kind of hectic (inside it, mainly), and there is an Air France airport bus that stops right at Gare de Lyon which I'd recommend, unless you want a taxi. There are various hotels in that area.

What Christina said. If you split the distance, no one will be happy. Stay in Paris and let the Disneyphiles get themselves out to Disney and back.
