Seat on flight for baby
We'll be traveling PHL to CDG with an 11 month old and definitely want a seat for her.
Which airlines are likely to give us a discount for baby in a seat?
I've been checking BA and getting price of $254 but am confused as to whether that is with or without a seat.

Generally, what I have seen in all my flights with our kids is the following. Lap kids free (don't do that). Children under the age of 2 years old are half price (if your child is especially big, they might want to see proof of age -- we had to do that once). Children over the age of 2 pay full fare.
Good luck and have fun.

Many international flights charge 10% or so for lap babies, supposedly to cover fees, security etc.
Some flights will have a discount for children / baby-seat tickets. We've typically paid anywhere from 50 - 10% less for their flights. It depends on the airline, the flight, the pricing structure and who knows what else.
You should check with airlines as prices are very fluid.

We've flown many times with our child, who is now 23 m/o. We almost always buy a seat. Most airlines offer 50% discounted tix, but not on all flights all the time. Also, it is difficult to see these type of tix on the websites, you have to call the agent directly. BTW, only children under 2 get discounts (except I heard SwissAir gives discounts for children over 2). After they are 2 y/o you have to pay full price.
