Seat assignments on TGV

If I try to buy Prem's tickets on the SNCF website for several people, I understand I have to put each passengers information in separately. Is there a way we can get it to assign seats together?

I don't know about Prems but when I book 2 Thalys tickets on SNCF.com, I indicate 2 passengers, go thru the booking and then fill out the two records for the two passengers. The site then seats us side-by-side, one window, one aisle.

Are you booking for the 4 all at once?

That's my plan so I guess they'd put us together. Thanks.

After you book, if the site doesn't seat you close together, you can contact by phone and discuss how to reassign... I don't have the ph# but it has been posted here before.

You should be booked together - I always am. If you're not and you need to call, from the USA its 011-33-8-92-35-35-35.

I bought 4 tickets last year about this time for May, and they had us seated in 4 aisle seats, but all together; ie, my husband and I were across the aisle from each other and our cousins right behind us. Our car was next to empty so we could sit wherever we wanted to, but it seemed strange for the computer(I assume) to seat us that way.

Once the tickets are booked good luck on getting the seats changed. I have battled with this over and over and its pointless. Their system is archaic. The seat is the booking so they have to redo the entire booking to move. The only other way is to ask the controlleur on the train or just move yourself. However when you book on the net for X number of people it puts you together although as grandmere indicated, it can be not the most ideal arrangement.
