scotland whiskey tour enroute
With many excellent suggestions from Sheila, I have a plan to drive from Edinburgh to Oban in one day, scenically visiting Glencoe, trossachs, Stirling enroute. My question is this. Is there a whisky distillery we could visit in this area of Scotland? I have done a search and found lots about Glenlivet but I believe that to be too far north for our trip. We will be near Oban the second day and wonder if there is something near there that would suit the next day on our way to Keswick (or a bit out of the way if need be) We don't mind "touristy" as we are tourists. We would like a sample.
I read a lot about the whiskey trail, but it appears that is north of Edinburgh enroute to Aberdeen or Inverness? (not quite sure about this, but since we aren't going that way, we haven't pursued it)
Thanks for any input.
If you have a review of any tour suggested that would be appreciated. I can search google for web pages and tour times myself. Mostly I need "suggestions" for something enroute.

There is! In the centre of Oban , in a street running back from the prom.I think its called The Oban Distillery, very easy to find.
Forget the "whisky trail" (note - no e) its just a local attempt to steal tourism. There are distilleries in most parts of Scotland. Many have websites.
