We visited Skye, Lewis and Harris in June last year and loved it.
We stayed in B&B's in all three locations but the place we stayed in Skye was superb. It was called www.cruinnbheinn.co.uk and was very reasonably priced and the family were great.
The scenary in Skye was amazing especially on the road to Elgol and around Armdale. Not forgetting the white coral beach near Dunvegan.
We are planning to go there again this year!

Check the status of the Forth Road Bridge when you go. We were in Scotland last September and construction on the Bridge caused many delays from Perth to Edinburgh. If construction is ongoing, take a train.
Consider more than a day in Edinburgh.

We are planning on taking the train to Edinburgh since driving in the city isn't what we wish to do, and the train takes us right into the heart of town.
It's good to hear what to see on Skye because we aren't sure if we will have time to see the whole isle.
Any input on the Clachaig Inn in Glencoe? We are thinking we might stay there our first night.
