Scotland - final night

I'm trying to decide where to spend our last night in Scotland. We will be staying over in Oban on a Saturday and leave from Glasgow on a Monday. I would appreciate suggestions as to where to stay between the two. Our flight to the US leaves at 10:30 a.m. Thanks for all suggestions. D

I'd stay either

1) along the southern end of Loch Lomond

or

2) right at GLA.

Loch Lomond to GLA is a very easy drive and wanting to be at the airport by 0730 or 0800 to have time for returning the car, you'd be on the road ahead of the morning commute.

But spending all day Sunday touring around, having dinner on the road, then turning in the car and staying at GLA that night would be the easiest. You could sleep in a bit Monday AM, have the car over and done with, and not lose a single minute of useable sightseeing time. There is a Premier Travel Inn and other properties right there.

Just another thought - What if we dropped the car off in Glasgow and spent the day touring there and headed to the airport via cab the next morning. Could you possibly recommend a hote/b&b in Glasgow. Thanks.

The Holiday Inn in Glasgow might suit you.
it is only a short walk from there to Buchanan Street bus station and the Airport bus service.

it is quite a nice place,I was there on sunday in their Bonne Auberge resturant for lunch.

You'll have an 8.30am check in and I'd hate to be doing the M8 in the rush hour. Stay at the south end of Loch Lomond
