Scotland-Changed our itineary again-any feedback?
Hello,
We are going to Scotland on this coming Sunday, Nov. 23. Arriving in Edinburgh. We are there 1 nite/1 day and then are going to Oban (Monday), simply to be able to take the ferry the next morning to Isle of Mull/Iona. We leave the next morning (wed.) back to oban and driving toward Perth-going there to see antique stores. Spend the nite in this area (not sure where-any suggestions welcomed) And then back to Edinburgh on Thursday for our last day in Scotland.
Any suggestions welcomed. Wondering since we are only in Scotland 5 days-is this a good scenic itineary? Thank you.

Bloomin' 'eck, sevakaur!! You're not messing around, are you?
Clarify for me (or for you) the Mull/Iona thing. How are you getting to Iona? Boat to Mull, with the car, then drive to whatchamacallit, then boat to Iona? or boat to Mull, bus to the Iona ferry? I don't think there are boats from Oban all the way to Iona at this time of year.
Dunkeld for staying over, near Perth and antiques, I think. What's your budget?
It's pretty enough. Remember it's dark till 8 and dark again by 4pm

It's been a long while since I've been in Scotland but along with going down the whiskey trail, which did not help my memory, one of the distilleries we visited away from the whiskey trail was Oban. It's a neat little place and the tour is free with a wee dram at the end. It was one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland with only two stills if I remember correctly. Michael Jackson doesn't rate Oban that highly but I think it's very smooth and tasty.

Hello Sheila,
We are renting a car in Edinburgh, driving to oban (spending the nite-maybe at the manor house-any feedback?) taking a ferry the next morning with our car to Mull. driving to take a ferry to iona. They back to craignure for the nite. Is this too much?
