Scotland 13 nights stay location
Trying to figure out how many nights to stay in what locations. I have 13 nights in total. We fly in and out of Edinburgh. Here is my stab at how many nights at each location. Wondering if based on our likes some of them should be switched around. Edinburgh 3, Inverness 2, Sky 3, Oban 3. Glaslow 2. I think we will like looking at historical sites, castles, countryside, villages. We wont be doing any long hikes or physical actives such as kayaking. We also like seaside towns. There is so much to see just want to make sure we will get a good feel for Scotland with these locations and day trips from these areas. We will have a car. We are in mid 60s and in good shape.

Quick comments: Any pressing reasons you chose those destinations -- specific sites you want to see in each -- or they are just the ones you've heard most about??
• I personally would not stay IN Inverness at all. In the general area -- perhaps but not in teh city unless you are relying on public transport.
• 2 nights on Skye will only give you 1 day so a LOT of travel time for not much reward. I personally would not go to Skye unless I could stay at least 3 nights.
• Re Glasgow -- I love the city but it doesn't tick any of your list. Unless you are big Charles Rennie Mackintosh fans, I'd eliminate Glasgow on such a short trip. Especially if you are flying out of EDI and not GLA.
More later --
