As a guy who commutes from Florida to Paris, I have been there twice since the beginning of the current Iraqi problems. No one has ever...repeat ever..treated me with anything but respect.

Yes, there have been demonstrations, mainly at Concord, but there were almost the same number of Paris police and National riot police as demonstrators.

There is nothing to fear. If the incident reported by Andy was factual and not for media attention, I would say no....but then, our media does love sensationalism.

Let your daughter go.
I will be traveling Europe for the first time at age 25. I will be studying International Human Rights in Europe..great timing huh! I am not worried because I think we're in just as much danger if not MORE in the US, whether it's the threat of terrorists or the threat of narrow thinking and ideas. Travel will broaden her mind, life experience and make her a more well rounded individual. My mom didn't want me to go, but then changed her mind and decided to come visit me while I am there!
