Hello all, once again I hit this helpful board looking for your great advice. We are seriously considering using Europeandestinations.com to book out flight, hotels, transfers and rail service. May also look at some tours through their site as well. Does anybody have any experience with this outfit? If so, as usual, your comments are welcomed.

Now onto the question...we originally planned 3days Venice, 3Days Florence and 5 Days Rome (family in Rome)..my wife just mentioned Assisi..do not know much about it....would it be wise to do 2days in Venice, Florence and Assisi???? We are going in early July, I know it's peak and hot but only time that works. So help if you can....

Please also let us know if you've had any experience good or bad with europeandestinations.com...I have read a few positive responses and just seeing if anyone else has a comment.

I personally loved Assisi and staying overnight there (when all the day trippers leave) was really magical. There will be others who will argue that you need at least 3 nights in Venice and that therefore you should leave Assisi out this time, but personally I wasn't wowed by Venice, and for me 2 nights was plenty. But every person is different so you have to decide for yourself. Personally, I would do the 2-2-2 breakdown and include Assisi....or you could shave a day off Rome and do 3 days Venice, 2 days Florence, 2 days Assisi, and 4 days Rome. That would be a lovely trip. We were going to use that company for flight, hotel, and train, but I was unhappy with their hotels. We prefer smaller, locally owned hotels with character, of which they offered none.

When I found a cheap fare on www.flycheapabroad.com, I was able to put a trip together for less than that site, and choose the hotels myself.

Also, you have to pay for your entire trip at one time with that site, while I like to spread it out more (pay flight now, hotel upon return) and have flexibility with my hotel cancellation policies.

You can easily book airfare, hotels and trains for V, F and R all by yourself.

This is almost exactly what I am planning on doing and have considered them. I have not heard anything about them either. I have called them on several occasions with questions and was generally treated quite rudely. The good thing is that the website is a little easier for me to navaigate that say another site. We are travelling with a child and am not sure as to whether we need to try for 2 rooms or just the 1, due to everything I hear about room size, I almost think 2 for a few nights might be a good thing.
