SAVDA bus from Courmayeur to Milan
Hi,
I will be arriving in Courmayeur, Italy on 12 July from Chamonix. I understand that there is a bus running from Courmayeur to Milano daily at 1700 and arrives at 2030.
However, I would like to find out if the bus is usually on time? Because I am planning to leave Milano to Venezia by train at 2105.
Therefore, I'm wondering if I will have enough time to catch the train.
Thanks in advance!

Not knowing anything abut those buses, but from experience in general .. there can always be back -ups on roads and construction, an accident.. anything to make that half hour whittle away. Hopefully you can find connections that aren't so stressful no matter where you go.

The bus doesn't go to what most of us would call Milan (which is the English for the largest city in Lombardy) but to a suburban bus station.
The station's on the Milan Metro's Line 1: you need to get it to Cadorna and change to Line 2 for the main railway station to Venice. You'll PROBABLY manage this in 30 mins, though the station's immense.
You MIGHT find a connecting train from Aosta gets you to Venice more easily (bus timetables at www.savda.it/orari_tariffe.htm: trains most easily accessible at www.bahn.de). But I suspect you'll have to choose between overnighting in Courmayeur, Aosta, Milan or on a train
