Distance between Milan airport and train station

Either fly from Venice to Milan june 5th 7:30 a.m. gets in at 8:30 for a 11:30 connection back to states for $279 or from Venice take train 1st class ticket for $45 leave at 6:30 a.m. into train station at 9:05. Are Italian trains reliable and what is distance from train station to airport??

Thank you!! am in Switzerland now need to make decision...

Not exactly certain that I completely understood your question but...I remember taking a bus from Malpensa to the Milan train station and it was about a 30 minute ride in heavy traffic.

If I understand it right...you have a flight to the States from Milan at 11:30 in the morning and you want to go to Milan this same morning from Venice ??? no way to do it by train, Malpensa is one hour from Milan by bus and you have to be at the airport at least 3 hours before the flight. I doubt you will make it even by plane.
Spend the night in Milan, not in Venice.

Centrale to Malpensa is a 50-minute bus ride. Your train most likely will get in on-time, but even if you catch the next bus right away, you can't get to Malpensa before 10am the earliest.

Theoretically, the airlines may still allow check-in up to 10:30am, but you're cutting it very very close with no margin of error.

Also Malpensa it's usually crowded. Going through security can be time consuming there.
