The murales in Orgosolo (west of Cala Gonone).
The small peninsula of Sinis (close to Oristano).

Since you are landing in Olbia, why go West to Alghero/Bosa, backtrack East to go to Cala Gonone and drive West again to Oristano ? It would be simpler to visit Cala Gonone first.

Thanks, but we must start in Olbia and end in Cagliari to return the car 2 weeks later. Have to miss either the West side or the East down to Cala Gonone and there seems more to visit by going West across the top and down to Bosa , then across to Cala and the area which is apparently special. then we can cross again back to Oristano area and continue the West coast and to Cagliari.
We'd prefer towns and coast rather than the wild open area option..
