In mid-September - taking a noon ferry out of Athinios port. Supposed to be there an hour beforehand. Could someone indicate point-to-point travel time from Oia? Also - take the bus or best via taxi?

Taxi is about 25€. Busses are every half hour in high season... by September could be less ... takes about 20 minutes from Oia to Fira, then you have to change to another bus going down to the port. Why not just check with your hotel owner when you get there? OR if on arrival, you are doing the same thing (bus up from port, then take bus to Oia), look on the signboard at the bus lot, for the timetable.

The port bus from Fira will depart about an hour before the ferry departs, so plan your trip from Oia to Fira accordingly. Taxi = €25-30, Bus = €3.4 per person.
