Santorini/Mykonos Books
Hello Friends
I am looking for a small pocket book for Santorini and Mykonos, which lists places to visit, eat, rentals, tours, shopping, etc --> basically explore the islands.
I love the Lonely Planet on Athens, looking for something simillar.
Thanks

I don't know where you can get one outside of Santorini, but there are two available on the island just about everywhere once you've arrived. They are called "Santorini Today" and the "Santorini Guidebook." They're both quite comprehensive and they're both free.

We want to plan and make a things to do list before we reach Santorini and Mykonos, and looking for good travel guides with specific details.
I read fodors, frommors, DK, etc but they talk more about history of islands.
For Athens I found a great book from Lonely plannet.
Thanks,

I doubt you will find anything like that outside Greece. I just did a search for a Mykonos guidebook on the Amazon website, and got one result: a used copy of a book printed in 1974!
Lonely Planet has a new Greek Islands edition coming out this month. It will also have a section on Athens, so if you are just doing Santorini-Mykonos-Athens, that would be useful.
Once you get to Greece there will be many choices, including the free ones mentioned by brotherleelove. Check in the bookstores, and you will find guidebooks such as this: http://www.redguidebooks.gr/index.php?id=7&L=1

Your best bet is to bring up threads on Fodors and print them off before you go. You get first hand recommendations of restaurants etc and I found it to be the very best thing to get me around in Greece. The advice right here on the boards is the best!!!!
