Santorini help! Katikies is booked.

After reading all the great messages about Katikies, we tried to book it, but it's full!
Does anyone have any suggestions for a really nice hotel in Santorini, either Fira or Oia? We checked out Perivolas, but it's too pricey.

Also, if anyone can recommend a good place for Naxos, I'd appreciate it as well.

Many thanks.

we stayed in the Chromata (sp?) which were colorful rooms cut into the cliffside, giving a cave-like appearance. each room had a bedroom, living room area and private bathroom. It was very nice and had a beautiful pool.

In Fira, we stayed at Loucas Hotel and would highly recommend it. With magnificent views, we had a living room, large loft bedroom and clean bathroom. They met us at the airport which was an added benefit.

Outside of Fira, we stayed at Volcan View Villas; cannot imagine a more spectacular view! They provided transport to and from Fira several times/day.

Try Sun Rocks Villas in Firostephani. Within walking distance of Fira but away from the hustle and bustle. We stayed in room #31 -- outstanding!

www.sunrocks.gr
Thanks for all the helpful info. I have contacted Esperas and Sunrocks and am awaiting replies.

Meantime, Sue, do you have a website for Volcan View Villas? I like the idea of a shuttle to the beach and would like to contact them.

Thanks!

Shuttle is to the town of Fira, not place to swim. Don't have website, but go to google, and they will have it. I'd look it up but am busy at work!

I stayed at Dana Villas in Fira. They were fantastic...all cut into the cliffs, all overlooking the water, and all with some outdoor space (complete with chairs and sometimes a table). They also have a pool. Very, very nice!

http://www.greekhotel.com/cyclades/s.../dana/home.htm

Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone!

It's narrowed down to Esperas or Sunrocks. Leaning towards Sunrocks-for no apparent reason. If anyone has a strong opinion for or against, I'd be curious.

Also, still looking for a nice place in Naxos. If anyone can shed some light I would truly appreciate it.

Thanks again.
