Santorini airport questions

I'll be arriving at Santorini airport on a Saturday in July at 6:30 pm. (18:35)

At the ktel (bus) website one list has the last bus at 15:10 on Saturdays which sounds ridiculous. A link to the pdf of the schedule lists later buses but doesn't mention Saturdays. Anyone know which is right?

I then looked at several 'airport transfers' sites but looks like they are 20 -30 € (I will be alone so even the cheapest, at €12 per person with 2 person minimum gets expensive). Anyone know of an tranfer service that is less than this?

In looking at reviews Santorini airport gets absolutely horrid reviews. I guess arriving is not as bad as departing (I will be departing two weeks later). I arrived at the airport nine years ago and don't remember it being so bad (that trip left by ferry so didn't go back to the airport). Has it gotten that much worse? Or is departing that much worse than arriving?

I'm seeing something different. There's a bus to Fira at 7:10, 8:10 and 10:10. https://ktel-santorini.gr/ktel/index...ble-summer-eng The same schedule shows up on the PDF page. I suspect the website you saw was still in "winter" mode. That's when the timetable is less frequent.

You didn't say where you are staying. The Hoppa website shows shared transfers for less than €11 per passenger (no minimum) to Oia, which is the furthest away from the airport. https://www.hoppa.com/en

The airport is undergoing a change of management and many of the problems have been remedied as well as can be until such time as the physical changes needed can be implemented.

Thanks. That makes sense. I saw that the time table said 2018 but didn't notice a season so probably it was the winter schedule.

I'm staying in Fira, easy walk from the bus station, and I'm always about saving money when I can so usually go with a bus option. But that hoppa site looks pretty good too.

Glad to hear that the airport might not be as bad as those reviews - they were awful. Only other thing I've ever seen with such abysmal reviews is Sea Jets (which I have booked for trips between the islands - but they were the only option so I didn't have a choice).

Sea Jets has a couple of large and stable ferries now serving the Cyclades. Hopefully you'll be on one of those.
