Suec1-- regarding taking time for a hike-- Robert mentioned Camino del Norte but is mistaken to state that is a "new" Camino. Camino del Norte is probaby one of the oldest, if not the oldest route on to Pilgrimage to Santiago. Europeans from North of Spain preffered that route and hence it has been trailed for close to 1,000 years. Start at Playa La Concha (La Concha beach) you will see the "Sea shell Marker". You can go on th trail for 5Kms and get to Iguedo and return. I am heading out to Pamplona on Wednesday to walk a portion of the Camino by myself. I walked last year and have been counting the months and the days since to get back on the Camino!
