Salzburg to Hallstatt

Traveling from Salzburg to Hallstatt. Which is the more scenic option bus or train? Time is not an issue. Which side of the vehicle should I book? Thank.

Will you travel via Attnang, Golling or Fuschl?
I don't think that you can book specific seats in buses and regoinal trains.
