Safe to drink the water in...

Prague and Budapest, as well the countryside in Hungary and the Czech Republic? If not, bottled water available at a reasonable price? Thanks in advance.

Hi ky,

We drank the water in Prague with no ill effects.

Bottled water is available all over. Buy it in grocery stores for the best price.

The water was fine in both Prague and Budapest.

Enjoy your trip!

Water is safe all over Hungary, and I imagine the Czech Republic as well. However, at least in Budapest, you may prefer the taste of bottled water. As Ira noted, grocery stores offer better prices.
