RyanAir in Dublin
How much time should I allow between my incoming flight from the US into Dublin, and a second leg on RyanAir to Edinburgh or Glasgow? Is there any other carrier who matches RyanAir's prices between Dublin and Edinburgh, or between Dublin and Glasgow (not Prestwick)? Thanks for any help.

I would allow at least an hour. I know my Aer Lingus flight got in at 6:20 and the Ryan Air flight was to leave at 6:55. Technically I could've made it, since it's all in the same terminal, but if my flight had been even a little late getting into Dublin, I would've been stuck. So I took the 9:20 to Edinburgh instead.

Forgot to mention, you will have to figure in time to retrieve your baggage too, as RyanAir doesn't participate in any of the usual baggage transfers, so you can't check yourself all the way through to your final destination.

than check www.amadeus.net and click to airports - than you might find the minimum connecting times between terminals and flights

It's by no means unheard of for Aer Lingus and bmi to undercut the low-costs on a given day. Usually important to book both ways and be "away" on a Saturday night for this to work. Search on ebookers.com for market rates on your days.
There are no other low-costs doing Dublin-Central Scotland.

Allow loads of time to collect your baggage from your incoming flight to Dublin. The Arrivals area can be chaotic and people have regularly been kept waiting by the carousel for over an hour. RyanAir is VERY strict about checkin times - you must check in at least 45 minutes before takeoff (the terms and conditions are on the printout if you booked over the Internet) and they allow NO EXCEPTIONS. Similarly, if you're late boarding you won't be allowed on the plane. Check AerLingus.com and flybe.com for cheap flights - might not be as cheap as RyanAir though.

I'd put 24 hours between the flights; If everything goes right, 3 hours in the airport will have seemed like a waste. Dublin is surely worthy of 24 hours of your time.
Did this once to use cheap Ryanair flights to get from London to Paris - - by way of Dublin! Didn't regret it a bit.
Best wishes,
Rex
