Rue Caron Paris
Hi! I posted an earlier question regarding a specific hotel on this street, but looks like there is not a lot of interest in it, so . . . I thought I would be a little more general and ask about the area. The hotel is on Rue Caron, just off Rue St. Antoine, kind of near Hotel de Sully. Can anyone comment on the area? Fairly safe? (i.e. can I walk back to my hotel after 11 pm and not get stabbed? - Ok, that is a little extreme, but you know what I mean) Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hi grantop, do you know about the French Yellow Pages website?
http://www.pagesjaunes.fr/pj.cgi?
Go to the box on the right labeled "Les Photos de Villes", and click on the pull down menu. Highlight Paris (or another city), then click on the small photo inside the box. This will take you to another window where you can fill in the address you are interested in. Click on "Rechercher" and it will show you a photo of that address. Using the arrows you can move up and down the street.
You may be able to tell something more about the area by how it looks.

Surlock, As two of my THREE posts, as you so kindly reminded me, says, I asked for information on the hotel and no one had any knowledge so I re-posted with a more general question, and then thought I had done something wrong when I posted so I did it again, and I then apologized for the duplicates - what more can I do?
Your comments are vague at best "I've stayed close by, it's in the Marais, and yes, it's safe." (Where exactly is "close by" as the Marais covers about 16 acres) But it is all I really needed, not the snide comments.
Marilyn, thank you for your polite response. Pages Jaunes is very helpful, and did give me a nice "view" of the street.

It's quite a convenient location. I stayed at Rue St. Croix de la Bretonnerie, and at Rue du Temple. Rue caron is really close of both locations, and also close to Rue de Rivoli, a very busy street, and metro stations. There are plenty of restaurants and bistros, and also nice shops, if you head northwest or east of Rue de Rivoli and the Seine.Place des Vosges shall be no ore than two blocks from where you are.
You'll be walking distance of Rue Ille St Louis, Ille de La Cite - Notre Dame, and also the Louvre.
