Route for Naples Capri Pompeii
Our cruise stops in Naples and we have rented a car for the day .We have from 10AM (picking up the rental at 9) and need to return the car by 6PM.. Any thoughts of a route to drive? What is a must we see? So little time , I know but any advice would be appreciated.

Hi M,
OK, first thing is you REALLY don't want to drive! The driver doesn't get to enjoy the spectacular scenery, in season traffic is a nightmare and parking almost non-existent.
With the time you have, you could do:
#1 Pompeii and the Archeological Museum in Naples (where all the Pompeii artifacts are).
#2 trip down the Amalfi Coast and return
#3 Capri via boat
Depends on your interests which you choose.
Buon vaiggio!

Have you been to Napoli before? I've been there several times and used buses, trams and a taxi, and I still find the traffic frightening.
You can take a boat to Capri or a train to Pompei (there is a station which adjoins the ruins).
