Roundabout from "European Vacation" movie?

Hello, I know this is silly, but I want to annoy my kids and recreating the roundabout scene from the National Lampoon's European Vacation movie is ideal for our upcoming trip. However, I am having a very hard time finding the actual place. The only reference I have seen is that it might have been Lambeth Bridge? But when I looked online, it looks like the location is very different. Is it gone?

It was the east end of Lambeth. A lot changes in 30+ years.

Yes, definitely. That was before they built a whole lot of fancy apartments and hotels to the south and changed the look of the central island, but the Lambeth Palace side to the north hasn't changed.

Are you really going to hire a car and pay the congestion charge and deal with all the aggravation of having a car in central London - just for that..?

If you do, just make sure you stay in the left-hand lane, then you can get out of it when you like.

Or you could all sit on the upper deck of a bus going over Lambeth Bridge and make a passing reference as it enters the roundabout. It won't go round the roundabout, it'll just take the exit whatshisname was trying to make, but you'll have reminded them of it without the cost to your wallet or everybody's patience!
