Rothenburg hotels

Will be staying in Rothenburg for 2 nights. Need hotel suggestions for 2 people on 9-7 and 9-8. Will have a car so parking at the hotel would be nice. Moderate hotel and above. Thanks

I enjoyed two nights at the above hotel. They will park your car for you.

We enjoy the Gasthof Goldener Greifen. They have parking immediately behind the hotel. Location is excellent. Breakfast and staff are both good. The did laundry when we stayed there last.

My husband stayed at the Burg Hotel - its quaint, built into the city walls and has a parking area adjacent to the hotel.

Was thinking about the burg, but the only rooms were across the street. Has anyone stayed across the street?

Hi Duer- Over the years we have stayed at 5 different hotels in RODT. Each had its own pros and cons. I would recommend that you go online at Booking.com to see what is available on your dates. The descriptions provided are pretty accurate and they will tell you if parking is available and if the parking costs anything. The descriptions also include items like A/C, breakfast, elevators, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, etc.

Have a great trip!!!

Stayed twice at Hotel Klosterstueble. Reasonable room rates, quiet, close on street parking. Food was quite good in restaurant. Last visited in March, 15.

Look for something with parking inside the city walls. Our go to place was horrible in May. She actually lost reservations for two couples that were meeting us there for the evening. Construction on roads so GPS was worthless. Some streets were closed.

Huggy,

did you have any problems finding a place to park?

If you want something special go to Villa Mittermeier. The rooms are beautiful decorated and the restaurant is excellent - in fact, the best in town and region.

The hotel is located directly at one of the gates into the historic city and has ample parking.

Duerfeldt:

Parked right in front of hotel on the street. The hotel gave us a parking pass allowing us to do so. Our visit was in March so obviously less visitors but hotel seemed to be fairly full. As you are limited to certain streets to drive on, suggest you have an easily followed map but after the first trip, the route was easy. Food in the restaurant was good but not spectular.

Last spring we stayed at the Hotel Spitzweg for 4 days...great location on a side street off the main street, very short walk to main square. Very charming rooms and innkeeper, free parking in lot behind hotel, wonderful large breakfast....in every way perfect for us!!
