Rome or Sorrento?

We have three days after spending 7
in Tuscany. Travelling with 2 kids (5&8),
and departing from Rome, which would be
more suitable.

Hi PaminItaly, personally I would stay in Rome. And most children love Rome. Have a beautiful trip!

When are you going? Sorrento is pretty far from Tuscany, and you'd lose a lot of time driving there. I'd recommend Rome, but if you're going during the summer, make sure you have a hotel with decent AC and/or swimming pool. I don't know what your budget is, but there are a few hotels in Rome that have swimming pools, and for a big splurge, the Cavaleri ( spelling?) Hilton might be the best of both possible worlds-- resort feel ( I think there's two large pools at least) but with shuttle service into Rome.

I've answered this on two of your previous posts. Youi said it would be in the month of August. Stay away from Sorrento in August. The whole month of August is vacation time in Europe and they all go to the sea for vacation. Y Rome is perfect.

To me, the obvious answer is to spend it in Rome.
