Of course, somre threads on restaurants in these three cities are better than others.
Let's hear from some relatively newer contributors who have combed through the hundreds of threads on this - - have been there recently and can point "rhonda" to some of the better info here on this forum.
Best wishes,
Rex

Our favorite in Venice is Alle Testiere. It is small, moderate to high in price and has wonderful and innovative seafood. Reservations are a must and should be made well in advance. Also suggest you check Chowhound.com for suggestions.

Based on our trip last year I would recommend:
Rome - Da Cesare on Piazza Cavour. I had a wonderful mushroom fettucini plus saltimbocca with spinach and roast potatoes
Venice - Corta Sconta in Castello - Eat the best food I had in Italy in a little courtyard. The Gnocchi in Lobster Suace and Tagliatelli in Mussel sauce were memorable
Also went to Florence, but no restaurant really stood out for us.
Bon appetit !!
