Rome convent hotel: SANT'ANNA DELLA PROVIDENZA?

Looking (at extreme last minute) for an inexpensive place to stay for one night on November 13 in Rome. I looked at the list of convent hotels on www.santasusanna.org and so far this is the only place that has availibility. If anyone has stayed here I'd appreciate some feedback. Obviously not looking for anything fancy, just clean and safe. Many thanks!!

It's a convent. How bad could it be for one night?

I'm sure there are reviews for Santa Anna on Trip Advisor. Was Santa Sofia booked? Did you hear back e-mail/hear back from every convent? In my experience, they can be a bit slow responding.

There are over two hundred convents/monasteries in Rome that rent rooms. Santa Susanna only lists a few.

Just a couple of things. I thought Italian monasteries can only book a minimum two night stay due to their special tax status? However try www.monasterystays.com which is a website I've found that is an online booking service for monasteries and convents all over Italy. They have plenty of places in rome as I' m planning to book with them on my next trip to Italy(early 2010)

Since this is so last minute most every place is booked but I was pleasantly surprised to receive very quick responses from most everyone I emailed! I'm personally willing to try anything but was asking for feedback in this case as I'll be travelling with my mom who has some disability issues and is not the most carefree traveller - it may be for just one night but it's all relative. Thanks for the input.

Here's a review from 2007 by Athena.

It's also known as Albergo Giusti so you might search that name on TA.
