Rome Budget accommodations in Trastevere
I am helping my son plan a trip to Rome. He is going with a group of roommates. I thought they would enjoy Trastevere area. I am not sure of their budget, but it would very basic as they really only need a clean room. Could anyone suggest an apartment or simple hotel.
thanks so much.

The Arco del Lauro is very affordable, clean, and in a great part of Trastavere. The staff is lovely and helpful, although not there at all hours - but we had no problem getting a key for our after-hours arrival. Snacks and water available in a little common area were much appreciated. The one thing was I found the bed to be a bit too hard, but perhaps your son and his friends won't be as picky as me
My friend has also stayed at Relais Le Clarisse in Trastavere and liked it very much - more of a traditional hotel than the Arco del Lauro.
