Rome apartment for 4?
We'd like to book an apartment near Piazza Navona for a trip next summer. Our needs: A/C (we're going in August), 2 bdrooms (1 double, 1 twin), 2 bathrooms with fixed, overhead showers. We also have a preference for a place with easy access to the keys/management (i.e. maybe affiliated with a hotel or an apartment hotel). Budget: 150-225 Euros per night. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

A visit to www.slowtrav.com may be more helpful than any single recommendation I can make. That said, I think there are a couple of good offerings on www.domani-usa.com for Rome and that they are nice people to deal with.

<<Your budget looks low for everything you are asking for.>>
Maybe. But not drastically off base.
Domani-usa doesn't have anything that meets the price criteria (lowest is 269 euro per night, and air conditioning not explicitly mentioned)...
... but my very first stab among the listings at slowtrav took me to this one that might fit their needs:
http://www.contextrome.com/cart/reserve.php?p=APT733
160 euro per night or 1100 for the week.
I know nothing about this property nor the agency.

The following apartment rentals have gotten good reviews:
http://www.domusintl.com/categorie/1/appart.htm
I was in the process of renting an apartment from them for a Feb 2001 that had to be canceled. They were very professional and courteous throughout the process. Your budget is not that unrealistic for August when so many Romans place their apartments for rent and head out to coastal destinations.
