I arrive (March 7) at FCO during an 8hr train strike. My hotel is 1 block from Termini, so this is my best and cheapest option.
I've heard and believe this train is normally except from these strikes.

Yes, as far as I know the service is maintained also during strikes.

Thanks BATUFFOLINA, I thought so. Come to think of it in hindsight, you never hear of travelers posting about getting stranded either at the station or the airport.
Now I only have a 24hr public transit strike to deal with in Naples and a 4hr Air Traffic Controllers strike due to start 5 minutes after I board my outbound plane . Regards, Walter

Could you tell me how you know about the strike March 7th. My daughter's friends are visiting her in Florence at that time and it might affect their plans.Thanks

And when is the Air Traffic controllers strike suppossed to occur?
I'm visiting my daughter at the end of March.
