Rome Airport ATM for lira

Can someone please tell me where the ATM machine is at the Rome Fiumicino international arrivals terminal C? We leave next week and I want to get money before departing for hotel. I have contacted a few limo service but haven't heard from anyone yet. Thanks.

There's an ATM machine in the baggage area where you can get Euro.

The lira is no longer used in Italy; it was replaced by the Euro four or five years ago.

This Web page should list the locations of the ATMs at Fiumicino. In Italian, they are called "Bancomat."

You have to take the ATM time machine to get the lira, though.

Last year I agonized over whether to bring with us enough euros to cover the cost of our apt rental and limo from the airport. Glad we did bring them with us since the ATM was out of order the morning our flight got in!

There are MANY ATMs at Fiumicino.

When you get the Web page above, click on "Ricerca", click again on "Bancomat."
You can then click on each of the listings to see where the ATM is located.

[Terminal C] After you clear Customs and enter the Arrivals Hall turn left.
In 20m you will walk past a book and candy shop on the left, 40m past that there is an ATM on the left.
Also there is one if you turn right after entering Arrivals about 50m down on the right. It's in an distance corner 'off the beaten track' and I noticed it was off-line last March. It's possible that they might not be using it anymore. Regards, Walter

Is there a bancomat in the baggage area also, I think I read there was, before you get to the arrivals area? We will have limo guy waiting for us there and I would like to get euros for the apt. before we get to him.

Barb: You'll see the Bancomat when you go to the baggage claim area--it will be the wall with the line in front of it. The limo driver will be waiting outside this area.

Thanks Sera - I usually have enough euros from a prior trip to pay for the taxi/driver and can usually pay the next day for the apt., but this time they want the payment for apt. when we get there and it will be after 10:00 pm so won't want to run around trying to find a bancomat. Also don't want to pay extra to get that much $$ before I leave.

If you want lira, I can sell you some. I also have confederate currency and some E-tickets from Disneyland. I am much cheaper than the time machine.

The ATM in the FCO train station was out of order when I was last there. If you have enough euro to get a train to Rome, there are loads of ATMs in the streets.
