Romantic Stay near Berchtesgarten?

I have travelled to Germany often, but have not spent much time between Munich and Salzburg. I am hoping to spend a week around the Berchtesgarten area with a special friend and would appreciate any suggestions of a cozy and romantic Hotel or Gaestehaus in this area. Of course views of the mountains and lakes would be nice and I plan on doing much hiking in the area.
Thanks!

My husband and I fell in love with Hotel Bavaria in Berchtesgaden a few years back. We stayed in the Himmelreich Suite. We had a balcony that faced the mountains, a spa tub and a very good breakfast was included. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. www.bavaria-hotel.de

After considerable research with similar criteria, we chose and booked this for our 6-night stay later this summer: Haus Blum'reit in Marktschellenberg.

Another vote for the Hotel Bavaria which I learned about on this very board.

We stayed there last fall and, although it was not luxurious, it was very cozy and romantic and the view of the snow-capped Watzman from our balcony and the dining room was absolutely awesome.

Like Melinq8, we had a two-room suite with balcony and hot tub, wonderful breakfast included, for a very reasonable price.

The people were friendly and it was convenient to all the sights - it's a beautiful area - have a great trip!
