Romantic 4 Days In Barcelona

Hello, I am proposing to my girlfriend in Barcelona this December, we are staying at Gran Hotel La Florida. Can anyone suggest some romantic places where I could pop the question? I heard there was a Sacred Heart Church but can't find any info on whether it will be open in December. Feel free to suggest any quaint traditional restaurants also as I have'nt read many good reports on my hotel restaurant! Many thanks in advance!

Topping for you, and in the hope that others more familiar with the romantic aspects of Barcelona might see this and be able to offer help...

Good luck and all best wishes to you and your future bride.

We were at the Miro Museum at sunset and that was unbelievably romantic to me, but I'm a big artlover D), so it figures, but with the view, the sunset, and the art and setting, I would have said "yes" there (if I was so predisposed!)

There is a bar called Mirablau half way up Tibidabo, the mountain that Barcelona backs up to, with a spectacular view over the city. To get there, you can take the picturesque old tram called Tramvia Blau. At the top of the tram route, you get off and the bar is there. You can continue all the way up to Tibidabo on a funicular from that point as well.

Barcelona is a big, busy, noisy city. You could take a little trip to nice village along the coast...
