Any suggestions for romantic things to do in Rome. It is our honeymoon, and we will be in Rome for a week. I have been to rome before and seen the usual suspects.My fiance has not. Any help on some unique things to do, restaurants to check out, etc. Thanks!

Carey, <BR>My fiancee and I are going back in October. We went two years ago and saw a lot of the "usual suspects". This time we are going to try and take a little slower pace and do some "non or at least less touristy" things. A couple I have read about are a picnic in the Pincio Gardens just above Piazza del Popolo and also going there at sunset for very romantic views of the Roman skyline, including St Peters. <BR> <BR>There are a bunch of other ideas in a little book called Trip Builders. Hi Carey, <BR> <BR>I really enjoyed a book called _City Secrets_ that's put together by past and present members of the American Academy in Rome. They include some areas of the city that are less touristy (like Janiculum Hill), and lots of good eating suggestions. <BR> <BR>Enjoy your trip! <BR> <BR>JB

Thanks for the book recommendations! I checked out tripbuilder.com for an upcoming trip to Chicago (sorry, that's as far as I'm going near-term!), and it's really terrific!
