Roma Pass...purchase on line?

Has anyone purchased the Roma Pass on line?

After reading that they are sometimes hard to find, I'm wondering if we shouldn't do this?

Even if you purchase it on line, you still have to pick it up in Rome...

I got ours at a kiosk near Trevi Fountain. It is probably the Colosseum where they might possibly 'run out'.
