Road Directions in Ireland

Hello, Looking for most scenic routes to the following drives. Not worried about time and know I can find main routes if I have to. Also, don't need to know sites to stop at. Just need directions with road names. Looking for input from locals and/or other travelers.

1. Ennis to Dingle
2. Dingle to Portgamee
3. Portgamee to Kenmare
4. Kenmare to Bunratty

Many thanks in advance for assistance.

Have you plotted your trip out using Google Maps? You will get a good idea from that website, but I don't think the driving times are accurate for Ireland. I'm not an expert, but on the first leg from Ennis to Dingle, I would suggest taking the Killimer-Tarbert ferry then follow the Conor Pass to Dingle. Dingle to Portgamee to Kenmare follows the Ring of Kerry. I'm not sure about the whole route from Kenmare to Bunratty, but you should start by going through Killarney National Park.

In each of those cases - the direct (or as direct as it ever gets in Ireland ) routes are also the scenic routes.

I'd us the AA route finder instead of Googlemap -- the drive times are still overly optimistic but at least they are a bit more realistic.

Try viamichelin.com.
The scenic routes are colored green.

Thank you all for your responses. We just got back from our trip. Decided to take a main route to Dingle. Just wonderful time in Ireland and almost eight days of sunshine! Love, love the Irish.
