I'll be taking my first trip to Prague at the end of March 2004 and would like to stay at the Riverside Hotel. However, the rates are a bit higher than I'd like to pay so am hoping that someone knows of a website that can get me a better rate. The Riverside is quoting $400 a night for one of their Jr. Suites, $290 a night for a Deluxe room. Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, Travel.cz, Praguehotels.cz are all quoting the rack rates, which are much higher. Any suggestions for getting a better rate at the Riverside?

Or, as an alternative, any suggestions for a similar hotel (location, view, room quality) at lower cost?

Is that rate that was "quoted" to you done so by the hotel directly (via e-mail or phone) or via its website? If the latter you might try talking to them directly and asking for their "best" rate. I just Googled this subject and came up with rates from 132 E...I'd try all the dowscount sites I could find bearing in mind that many of those might be booking you into a "standard" room. I don't knnow if you are still in search of a better rate at the Riverside but the property is on the auction site Luxury Link where 4 nights (plus some extras) in a junior suite has been selling for around $700. This might be your best bet.

I've booked 7 nights at Na Kampe 15 (Charles Bridge hotel) but am thinking of going for the auction instead.

I received a quote directly from Riverside hotel and their email quoted exact rates and what was quoted online.
