Rhodes or more time in the Cyclades

Hi everyone,
My fiance and I are heading to Greece for the second part of our honeymoon in July (after spending 9 days in Italy). Our current Itinerary has 3 nights in Athens (2 days only as we get into athens in the evening), 4 nights in Crete and 3 nights in Santorini. THere's another 4 nights in there and we're debating whether we should go to Rhodes or stay in the Cyclades. Initially we thought we would explore Rhodes and maybe visit neighbouring islands but it seems that most islands are too far by boat. Any advice? During our Santorini leg we plan to stick around Santorini and relax.
thanks in advance

I think you'll make better use of your time if you stick to the islands near to Santorini. A quick ride to Paros and you'll be in a completely different environment than Santorini, and you can use the little local ferry to hop across to Antiparos for an even more laid-back experience.

Rhodes is definitely worth a visit,(one of our favorite Greek islands) but it's almost impossible to get there from Santorini or Crete without backtracking to Athens. I think that SKYEXPRESS may fly between Heraklion Crete and Rhodes, but I'm not even sure about that.

Although I haven't been, what about a visit to Naxos, which would match up better with your current itinerary?

I do believe there is still a ferry between Santorini and Rhodes, but it's only a couple of times a week at most.

I believe you can fly from crete to Rhodes and that's what we would do. I think we're leaning to staying in the cyclades.

Wrong. Sky Express will fly directly between Santorini and Rhodes during the summer months.

Thanks for the help everyone,
we decided to drop Rhodes for this trip afterall, as we felt we weren't giving ourselves enough time in the Cyclades.
