Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket - German Train expert

This link is to the Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland Regional line. Metz, France is on this map. I'd love to hear from someone with German train knowledge if this means we can take a train from Trier to Metz on a Rheinland-Pfalz-Lander Ticket.

http://kursbuch.bahn.de/hafas-res/20...z_Saarland.pdf

Thanks so much.

No, you can't. Only to Lauterburg or Wissemburg. Both are boder station and not on your way.

I believe the map convention is: if the station is shown with one kind or another of a circle icon, it's included. If the station name is pointed to by an arrow, it's not.

I know for certain that Bonn and Köln are included in the R-P ticket even though they're in Nordrhein-Westfalen, but I suggest asking bahn.de about stations in other countries, just to be sure.

Have fun in Greece!

While I've got your attention: is there any way to tell which stations are included by looking at the map symbols?

Yup, you've got my attention. No, you can't find that out by looking at map symbols. You'd have to read the "corresponding" page at bahn.de, which says only Lauterburg and Wissemburg are included.

I'm listening to the Mondschein-Sonate (Horowitz) as I type, thanks for mentioning Beethoven in the other thread again.

And yes, don't forget, the "v" in Beethoven is pronounced "f"! (Not to mention the "ee") (Horrible).

Yes, but the "y" in bay sounds wrong . Just a short "y", not a "yyyy". Sounds like some English speaker wanting to say "BMW"

Hmm, maybe you recall "My fair lady" (the musical movie). ;-) After a while, she learned to speak English ("aeiou"). If you can do that you're rather close to the german pronunciation. (Well not really)
If we want to speak "American", we use the letters "ä ü ö"

Mehdorn has been kicked out of office today, hoorah! A major win for our side. The Bahn will never be privatised. Never!

Trier to Saarbrücken
or if you can't find the "ü" on your keyboard you could also write:
Trier to Saarbruecken
