*LOL*!! The nice thing about burlap sacks, besides being simple & inexpensive, is that one can remove them very quickly. :~)

I will have to remember that. Do you think anyone will know where I am from if I wear one on my next trip abroad?

Do you think burlap goes better with those new stylish bowling shoes or with white sneakers?

Okay, how did a thread entitled "Rex or clothes" digress into getting Capo OUT of his clothes & INTO trouble?

Capo, for cryin' out loud, your girlfriend's a doctor now, I would think you'd be spending enough time out of your clothes.....
BC

Nice try, newsreader, but as a bookchick, I am aware of the fact that Truman Capote was an only child.
BC

*LOL* Newsreader! Careful though, I just might sic the ghost of Al Capone on you!

BC, not completely out of my clothes. She makes me wear hospital gowns even around the house. Hey, come to think of it, why not wear hospital gowns in Europe? I mean, the way they open in back they'd be quite cool & comfortable during a hot Roman summer.

Gerry, were we actually in Rome during the same time? We were there March 29th through April 9th...how about you?

Capo:
Actually I was there March 20-29. Did you see me as I was leaving? I was dressed to look like just your regular Italian local guy. Did they tell you about me when you got there?

Ah, interesting that we passed each other on the 29th.

Yes, as a matter of fact, they did tell us about you when we got there...everyone in Rome was talking about the American guy from San Francisco who thought he was dressed to look like just a regular Italian guy. :~)

Capo:
I said Buon Giorno to a 93 year old man on the street near St. John Lateran. He said "you are an American" (From San Francisco?) "But, you speak Italian?"
How did he know? Could it have been my accent?
I just hope they weren't rude to you because of me:~)
Maybe I'll see you there next time.

Gerry

Me too! I'm one of those people who must read every thread on this board so I become very irritated when I have to read a thread like this with so many nonsenical posts. Can't you guys do us compulsive thread readers a favor and KNOCK IT OFF?
